Terms of Service
These Terms of Service ("Terms") govern your access to and use of bestjobs.fyi (the "Service"). By using the Service, you agree to these Terms. If you don't agree, don't use the Service.
1. Eligibility
You must be at least 16 years old to use the Service. By using it, you confirm you can lawfully enter into this agreement.
2. Your account
You sign in with an email address using a magic link we send you. You're responsible for keeping that email account secure. If you suspect unauthorized access to your bestjobs.fyi account, sign out immediately and contact us at legal@bestjobs.fyi.
Don't share your account with others. Don't create accounts using someone else's email, automated means, or fake identities.
3. Acceptable use
You agree NOT to:
- Scrape, mirror, or systematically extract job postings, company data, or other content from the Service.
- Use the Service to power a competing product or to resell its data.
- Send abusive traffic (excessive automated queries, attempts to bypass rate limits, distributed attacks).
- Reverse-engineer, decompile, or attempt to extract the source of the Service.
- Use the Service for any unlawful purpose, including harassment, discrimination, or fraud.
- Use the Service to send unsolicited messages, spam, or recruiting outreach unrelated to your own job search.
We reserve the right to rate-limit, suspend, or terminate any account that violates these rules, with or without notice.
4. The "Pro" subscription
bestjobs.fyi Pro is a paid subscription billed monthly ($7/month) or annually ($59/year) in U.S. dollars. Billing is handled by Stripe, Inc. By subscribing, you also agree to Stripe's terms (stripe.com/legal/consumer).
Your subscription automatically renews at the end of each billing period unless you cancel before the renewal date. You can cancel at any time from your account page; cancellation takes effect at the end of the current period, and you'll retain Pro features until then.
No refunds. Charges already incurred are non-refundable, including for partial months or unused time after cancellation. We may make exceptions at our sole discretion (for example, in cases of duplicate billing).
We may change prices for new billing periods with at least 30 days' notice via email. Continuing to use Pro after a price change constitutes acceptance of the new price.
5. Job posting data
Job postings shown on the Service come from publicly accessible company career pages. We aggregate and re-display them for search. We don't guarantee that any specific posting is current, accurate, or still open — always confirm with the employer's official site before applying. We're not the employer; we don't recruit, screen, or place candidates.
6. Service availability
The Service is provided "as-is" and "as available" without warranty of any kind. We don't guarantee uptime, completeness of search results, or that the Service will be free of errors or interruptions. We may modify, suspend, or discontinue any part of the Service at any time.
7. Intellectual property
The Service, including its design, code, search interface, and databases, is our property. You're granted a limited, personal, non-transferable license to use the Service for your own job search. You don't acquire any ownership rights in the Service or the data it indexes.
Company names and logos shown on the Service are the property of their respective owners. They are displayed for identification only and don't imply any endorsement or partnership.
8. Limitation of liability
To the maximum extent permitted by law, bestjobs.fyi and its operators are not liable for any indirect, incidental, consequential, special, or punitive damages, or for any loss of profits, data, or goodwill, arising from your use of the Service. Our total liability to you for any claim related to the Service won't exceed the greater of $20 or the amount you paid us in the 12 months before the claim arose.
9. Termination
You can stop using the Service at any time. You can request permanent account deletion by emailing legal@bestjobs.fyi; we'll process the request within 30 days.
We can suspend or terminate your account if you violate these Terms, if required by law, or if continued service becomes commercially impractical. If you have an active Pro subscription when we terminate for cause, you won't receive a refund.
10. Changes to these Terms
We may update these Terms from time to time. For material changes, we'll notify signed-in users by email at least 14 days before the change takes effect. Continuing to use the Service after the effective date constitutes acceptance of the updated Terms.
11. Governing law
These Terms are governed by the laws of the State of California, United States, without regard to its conflict-of-laws rules. Any dispute that can't be resolved informally will be brought in the state or federal courts located in San Francisco County, California, and you consent to personal jurisdiction there.
